Two planning actions taken recently that I would like to report to the CC:
1. 73 - 75 South Clerk Street shop has recently been given permission for the installation of an ATM (retrospectively), which has a rather bright blue "halo" light. This same shop was refused permission to install an ATM in 2014, and Newington Pharmacy was allowed an identical ATM but were not allowed the lighting. There seems to be some inconsistency here, so I have asked the Planning Dept to investigate.
2. 29 Blackwood Crescent / 12A West Newington Place appears to be carrying out extensive excavations, possibly to put windows into their basement. No planning permission has been applied for. I have asked Planning Enforcement to investigate.
